What's a POP UP?

It is a short term sales event that is held for just a few days and then ends. These ‘happenings' can occur featuring just anything at all. It might be an art event, a new product launch or a fashion event, for example. I have read that they started in Soho where someone wanting to host a short term event would contact the owner of an empty building and ask to rent the space for a limited amount of time. So! They would POP UP! and then be gone…pop out?

What might you expect to find at a glad rags POP UP!?

I am working hard to make it FUN and include many of the brands you have come to love (Urban Oxide bags and Lesser pants for example!) as well as new surprises. I will be making purchases of clothing, purses, jewelry and other great accessories. In addition I have companies that want to be featured at the event. They will send me a box of items of their choice and I will get to show you their newest designs, called a trunk show. Occasionally, I may be able to purchase some samples in perfect condition. When that happens there will be limited sizes and one each of those items, but I will be able to pass on a great price to you. Also on occasion a company will have some things in stock that are near end of season that they may want to sell to me at a slightly reduced cost. Again, I will pass on the savings. Each POP UP! will be different! Expect to be delighted! Know you will have fun! Events will be held every 3 months on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11-5. Watch this web site for exact dates.
